Plugin Features

CF Map Toolbar adds a simple 6-slot item shortcut toolbar to the map screen in RPG Maker MZ.

It is designed to make item use faster during gameplay, especially for potions, tools, special items, or other map-use items.

Toolbar items can use normal item effects, play item animations on the player, and also trigger Common Events. This makes it useful not only for consumable items, but also for custom map actions, interactive tools, special effects, or event-based systems.

The toolbar supports item quantity display, cooldown settings, and automatic removal when an item runs out.

This plugin is for item shortcuts only. It does not manage weapons, armors, equipment, or skills.

How to Use

1. Install the plugin

Place the plugin file in your project’s js/plugins folder, then enable it in the Plugin Manager.

2. Add item note tags

Add this note tag to any item you want to show in the Quick Slot selection list:

<show>

Optional note tags:

<common_event:1>

Runs Common Event 1 when the item is used from the toolbar.

<cooldown:60>

Adds a cooldown after the item is used.

The value is counted in frames. In RPG Maker MZ, 60 frames is approximately 1 second.

3. Manage the toolbar

Open:

Menu → Item → Quick Slot

From there, you can add, replace, or remove toolbar items.

4. Use items on the map

Items placed in the toolbar can be used directly on the map with number keys 1–6, numpad keys 1–6, or mouse clicks.
